Waymo’s robotaxis are coming back to New York City

Waymo says it has applied for a permit from the citys Department of Transportation to test its vehicles with safety drivers. New York state law requires that a test vehicle operator be present and ready to assume control of the vehicle while the AV technology is in operation.
