Obsidian Entertainment released Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire just over seven years ago. There hasn't been any firm news about a sequel in that time. Director Josh Sawyer says the franchise's isometric perspective needs to shift to the 3D style in Baldur's Gate 3.
