Meta is downsizing its legacy AI research team

Metas Fundamental AI Research unit, also known as FAIR, and its AI product and infrastructure division will be affected. The layoffs will reportedly impact around 600 employees. The company continues to hire workers for its newly formed superintelligence team, TBD Lab.
