EU gets what it asked for, there is no charger in the MacBook Pro box

EU law means Apple can't bundle chargers with new MacBook Pro or iPad Pro. If you live in the UK, you'd better already have one or be ready to pay more. Apple was forced to move from Lightning to USB-C charging on iPhone.
