Apple services hit as Amazon Web Services suffers outage

Hundreds of websites and apps were down because of an Amazon Web Services problem. As of 5:30 A.M. Eastern, Amazon says sites should be returning to normal. It isn't clear how long it will take before all apps and sites are back.
