AMD's Threadripper 9000 chips have up to 96 cores

AMD's new Threadripper Pro 9995WX has 96 cores and 192 threads. It's designed for pro-level workstations and ultra-high-end desktops. AMD hasn't yet announced pricing or specific retail models carrying the chips.
